Okna- Attractive yellow flowers and red sepals- Ochna squarrosa


Ochna squarrosa

  • Botanical name is Ochna squarrosa  or O. obtusata. Common names are Ramdhan Champa, Golden champak, Mickey Mouse Plant. Local name is Okna. Grows well in Lahore (USA hardiness Zone 10). Belongs to family Ochnaceae.  Plant has medicinal attributes. 


Can attain a height of 12 feet.
