  • Botanical name is Terminalia chebula. English name is Chebulic Myroblan or Myrobalan.  Other names are Harada, Harida and Harar.  Urdu name is Hareer. It thrives well in Lahore.(USA Hardiness Zone 10). High medicinal value is associated to this tree. Belongs to Combrataceae family.

  • Botanical name is Phyllanthus (fil-LAN-thus) emblica. Synonym is P. officinalis. Vernacular name is Indian Gooseberry. Local names are Amla and Aonla. Cultivated in Lahore (USA Hardiness Zone 10a- 11). Has many medicinal uses. Also called fruit of heaven and nectar plant. Rich source of vitamin C. Belongs to Phyllanthaceae family.
