Silk Cotton Tree- Coloring sky with red and orange flowers

 Silk Cotton Tree 

It is also called Kapok Tree, Red Silk Cotton tree. Its botanical name is Bombax ceiba(say-bah)malabaricum. It is conducive to climate of Lahore (USA hardiness Z 9b- 11). Belongs to Malvaceae family of plants.

Bismarck Palm- Adds silver to the landscape

Bismarck Palm

  • It could be spelled as Bismark or Bismarck Palm.  Botanical name is Bismarckia nobilis.  In local market even know as Bismarkia palm. Conducive to  Most soils and Lahore climate ( USA Hardiness zone Z 9a- 11). Belongs to Arecaceae family. Named after German Chancellor Otto Van Bismarck.

Dioecious- separate male and female palm.
Could be potted to contain it, but what for.

Coral Vine- Pink blooms repeatedly

 Coral Vine


  • Its botanical name is Antigonon (an-TIG-oh-non) leptopus (LEP-toh-puss). Other common names are coral vine and Mexican Creeper. It is conducive to climate of Lahore (USA hardiness Zone 8a- 10b. It belongs to Polygonaceae family.



Bloom repeatedly, color is pink to white.

Beaumontia climber- white flowers are appearing

Beaumontia Climber 


  • Its botanical name is Beaumontia grandiflora. Its other names are- Herald's Trumpet, Easter Lily Vine, Nepal Trumpet Flower. It belongs to plant family of Apocynaceae. Lahore is adorned by it, can thrive in USA Hardiness Zone 10a- 11.  March around your area to watch it during month of March.
