Showy flower, its life span is 24 hours, so named as daylilly, another flower usually replaces the spent one, on the same stalk/ scape. Drought tolerance, and has heat stress immunity, Grows in most hardiness zones. May mix this variety with other daylilies for colors. Requires full and part sun, moist and well drained soil. Low care. Deciduous. Plant during early fall.
It has 60,000 registered cultivars. Used as ground cover, border for shrub and perenial beds. Place in containers near patios. No serious pests or disease issues.
