- Botanical name is Crateva/ Crataeva religiosa. Common names are Spider Tree, Temple Plant, Garlic Pear. Local names are Berna or Berna Kalabash Tree. It has ornamental value. Belongs to Capparidaceae family. Suited to Lahore climate USA hardiness Zone 11.

we are environmentalist and rasing extinct plants and berna comes under it . it is for the first time that someone has posted photo of this tree . it is very useful in medicine and birds eat its fruit when it is ripen. we are thankful to you . member All India Society for Environmental Cause / 1997
